Because everybody could use some support.

How much does therapy cost?

For individuals, $175 for a 50 minute session. For couples, $200 for a 50 minute session. Sessions typically take place weekly, at the same time each week, and I accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and most FSAs or HSAs.

I believe in mental healthcare being a right for all, so I offer a limited number of sessions to clients at a reduced fee, which we can discuss during our initial consultation call. Additionally, I can provide referrals and resources to low-cost opportunities in your area to ensure you have options to make the best choice for you.

Do you take insurance?

To protect your privacy and limit potential outside interference or influence on our work together, I operate as an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan, and I encourage you to contact your insurance company to verify your benefits and find out if you can receive reimbursement for our work together. I can provide you with monthly invoices, or Superbills, that you can submit as a claim for potential reimbursement.

What if I need to cancel?

Emergencies, illness and other events come up and cancellations happen. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy and charge the full fee if a session is cancelled within 24 hours of our scheduled appointment, as that time has been reserved for you and I am unable to offer my services to someone else with that little notice. I will work with you to reschedule an appointment whenever possible in order to promote consistency and progress in our work together.

Good Faith Estimate

In accordance with the federal No Surprises Act, clients will receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges, which outlines a general expectation of cost based on the fee we agree to in our initial consult call. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Please keep under consideration that an estimate for the length of time you will be receiving psychotherapy services is truly an estimate. There is no way to predict how long you will be in therapy, and there are many factors that go into how often and for how long we will meet. Typically, I meet with clients weekly when we start working together. Sometimes, clients will decrease to meeting every other week or once a month for check-ins, until there is a readiness to end our work together. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, which is why I work so collaboratively with you to best support you with your needs and regularly assess how this process is going for you.
